Scope
This policy describes how the SplashDuo macOS application handles information. SplashDuo does not require an account and does not operate an online service.
Data collection
SplashDuo does not collect, transmit, sell or share personal data, usage data, analytics, advertising identifiers or diagnostic information.
Screen content
With your permission, SplashDuo accesses frames from the built-in display solely to render the live visual effect. Frames are processed locally in memory and are not recorded, retained, uploaded or made available to SplashDuo or any third party.
Lid-angle sensor
On supported MacBook models, SplashDuo reads the current lid angle to animate the effect. Sensor readings are used in real time on your Mac and are not saved or transmitted.
Local preferences
Effect settings are stored locally on your Mac. Launch at Login is managed by Apple’s system service. These settings are not accessible to SplashDuo outside your device and do not create an external account.
Sharing and third parties
SplashDuo contains no advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs or developer-operated cloud service, and no app data is shared with third parties. Downloads, purchases and updates provided by the Mac App Store are handled by Apple under Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.
Retention, deletion and consent
SplashDuo retains no data on developer-controlled systems. Local preferences remain on your Mac until you remove them. You can revoke Screen Recording access at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security; the live effect will remain disabled until permission is restored.
Children’s privacy
SplashDuo does not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.
Changes to this policy
If SplashDuo’s data practices change, this policy and its effective date will be updated before those changes take effect.
